About this grant
Oil Change International has worked over the last decade to increase the transparency of international financial institution lending in the energy sector, ensuring that there is clearer data to inform policymakers in their discussions with these institutions as well as in international climate negotiations. Over the last grant period, the grantee has significantly expanded its tracking of public finance for fossil fuels, expanding the data to include all of the major multilateral development banks. This grant increase will allow the grantee to continue its research and media outreach work to shift multilateral and bilateral financing away from fossil fuel projects and toward support for renewable energy.
