About this grant

The Social Change Assistance Trust is a grantmaking organization established in 1984 that predominantly funds rural organizations in order to improve the quality of life in their communities. It supports programs that address human rights, gender equity, HIV/AIDS, and local economic development. Past support assisted the grantee to fund and support community advice offices in the Eastern Cape, Western Cape, Northern Cape, and Free State provinces. This grant increase will allow the grantee to collaborate with the Association of Community Advice Offices of South Africa to offer training to about 150 paralegals who work in community advice offices across South Africa.
