About this grant
The Superior Watershed Partnership is a Marquette-based Great Lakes nonprofit which serves the communities and tribes in the 15-county region of the Michigan’s Upper Peninsula as a trusted regional leader on environmental matters. This role is important given the region’s pressing challenges regarding reliable and affordable electricity. The grantee is helping to lay the groundwork for a regional energy plan that will chart the transition to a new system that enables the region to manage its own energy future. Through additional research, technical analysis, and stakeholder outreach, this renewal grant will allow the grantee to complete the collaborative development of a regional energy framework that will serve as a guide for a comprehensive energy plan.
