About this grant
Amazon Conservation Team has been working with traditional communities in the Colombian Amazon rainforest to develop forest conservation and sustainable livelihoods, including renewable energy access. Over the past grant period, the grantee installed solar electrical energy kits for nearly 600 indigenous families living in isolated communities in the Caquetá region of the Colombian Amazon. Over the next grant period, the grantee will complete solar access for more than 50 communities and develop sustainable community management systems and advocacy for replication and universalization of solar access in the Colombian Amazon.
