About this grant
In order for children to be prepared for and connected to opportunities in an ever-evolving economy, the public school funding system in Michigan must be reformed to provide funding which supports student achievement for all students in PreK-12. The School Finance Research Project, a project of the Oakland Schools Education Foundation, will determine the adequate amount of funding required to educate children in the PreK-12 system. The project will build on the results of the 2016 adequacy study by using multiple methodologies and addressing concentrations of high need students, geographically isolated districts, charter schools, preschools, special education, and career and technical education.
