About this grant
The Flint National Service Accelerator Fund helps Flint and Genesee County agencies leverage state and national service members through the Corporation for National and Community Service and its affiliates. Flint area service members support projects aligned with the City of Flint’s master plan, emerging community needs, and the Corporation for National and Community Service priorities including education, economic opportunity, disaster services, environmental stewardship, healthy futures, and veterans and military families. Focus areas in Flint include community education, literacy, public safety, nutrition, and assisting Flint residents and nonprofits to recover and rise from the Flint water crisis. Matching grants provide resources to local nonprofit agencies for the required member cost share, training, and travel reimbursement. The fund is held at the Community Foundation of Greater Flint and is administered in close partnership with the United Way of Genesee County.
