About this grant
Nearly one billion people live without access to electricity. Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, through its Shine Campaign project, aims to address this global challenge by calling on leaders in the faith, philanthropic and nonprofit sectors to make principled investments in clean, affordable energy that put the most vulnerable communities first. In its first two years of operation, the Shine Campaign project has built an organizational backbone, raised awareness on the issue, and gained new financial commitments for clean energy access. With continued Mott support, the grantee will build on these successes through a range of research, networking and communications activities.
