About this grant
The Flint Cultural Center Corporation operates The Whiting, Sloan Museum and Longway Planetarium, and manages and maintains the 38-acre Flint Cultural Center campus which also includes Flint Cultural Center Academy, Flint Institute of Arts, Flint Institute of Music and Flint Public Library. In addition, the Capitol Theatre is operated by The Whiting. Students and adults participate in or attend a variety of cultural, educational and instructional programs and activities at these cultural center organizations. In addition to offering national touring artists and live theater, the grantee also focuses on providing educational programming both on site and in schools. This grant will provide operating support to the Flint Cultural Center Corporation for the benefit of its facilities, member organizations and programs.
