About this grant

This grant supports the Genesee County Land Bank Authority’s planning and neighborhood revitalization activities. The grantee develops and operates a nationally renowned program to reclaim vacant and abandoned property and restore it to productive use. This function is overseen by a professional planning and development team that attracts resources, plans, coordinates and implements neighborhood interventions using a variety of tools and strategies. The Genesee County Land Bank Authority’s activities simultaneously enhance the quality of neighborhoods in Flint and promotes citizen stewardship by engaging neighborhood groups in planning the disposition and use of vacant structures, as well as maintaining vacant lots.
