About this grant
This grant will renew general purpose support to Focus: HOPE, an anti-poverty and civil rights organization serving low-income residents of Detroit’s Oakman Boulevard neighborhood. Cofounded in 1968 by Father William Cunningham and Eleanor Josaitis, the grantee’s mission is to provide intelligent and practical solutions to overcome racism, poverty, and injustice. Mott funding will help support the grantee’s continued transition to a new business model as well as its core lines of work: early learning, youth development, workforce development, food justice, and community empowerment.
