About this grant
The Instituto de Clima e Sociedade is a Brazilian philanthropic organization that promotes prosperity, justice, and low-carbon development in Brazil. Over the past project period, the grantee worked with Brazilian partners and energy planners to develop a series of technical reports needed for a 100 percent renewable energy delivery model using solar, wind, and biomass for the Amazon state of Roraima. Over the next project period, the grantee will promote the plan and work with energy regulators to advance policy for indigenous-owned, large-scale wind power development and off-grid renewable energy for isolated communities.
