About this grant
This grant will support the Helping Young People to Employment Program. The program is managed by Faith Foundation Resources, a nonprofit dedicated to working with low-income and at-risk people to help better their lives. The goal of the Helping Young People to Employment Program is to prepare youth aged 16-24 for work. Young people learn about the job training and career skills needed to become productive and responsible members of society. Courses focus on job readiness, learning the fundamentals of interpersonal skills, and financial literacy. After completion of an eight-week training program, youth are eligible to be placed into 20 to 30 hours of after school employment. Metro Community Development, a long-time Foundation grantee will serve as a fiduciary for Faith Foundation Resources.
