About this grant

This grant will enable Ideas42 to support the Foundation’s efforts to provide more young people with children’s savings accounts. Specifically, Ideas42 will partner with San Francisco’s Kindergarten to College program to explore innovative ways to increase student and parental engagement in the program. Drawing insights from behavioral science, the grantee will recommend improvements to the initial "welcome kit" as well as outreach strategies along the broader set of program delivery channels and intervention points. The grantee’s staff will also suggest strategies to enhance the impacts of savings accounts on college-going aspirations and behavior. Ideas42 was founded out of research programs in psychology and economics at top academic institutions and uses behavioral science to help solve challenging social problems.
