About this grant
This project continues support for Michigan State University’s efforts to document and promote solutions that help America’s older industrial cities address chronic fiscal stress. The City of Flint will remain a research focus, while new attention will be placed on Flint Community Schools–both as a focus on the research and as a beneficiary of technical assistance efforts intended to educate city and school leaders about potential solutions to the structural and managerial challenges confronting their institutions. The university will also publish two white papers and share relevant findings with statewide and national audiences.
