About this grant
The Flint National Service Accelerator Fund helps Flint and Genesee County agencies leverage state and national service members through the Corporation for National and Community Service and its affiliates. Flint area service members support projects aligned with the City of Flint’s master plan, emerging community needs and the federal priorities. Focus areas in Flint include community education, public safety, nutrition and assisting Flint to recover and rise from the Flint water crisis and global pandemic. Matching grants from the fund provide resources to local nonprofit agencies for the required member cost share, training and travel reimbursement. The fund was previously held at the Community Foundation of Greater Flint but is now administered by the United Way of Genesee County, which also provides staffing for the Flint National Service Accelerator.
