About this grant
The goal of the project is to develop community foundations in Ghana. Over the past year, the Pure Trust Social Investors Foundation introduced the concept of community foundations to 20 communities in 10 regions across the country. The grantee produced learning materials, supported 10 initiative groups, and launched one community foundation. Over the next three years, the grantee will provide support and tools to the initiative groups, create a learning community and platforms, continue to popularize the community foundation concept and pilot local resource mobilization activities. Based in Tamale, in the northern region, the Pure Trust Social Investors Foundation was established in 2014 to create social and economic solutions that are inclusive of the poorest communities across Ghana.
