About this grant
The project goal is to increase the contribution of community foundations in Canada and globally to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Over the past several years, Community Foundations of Canada has created relevant learning content, built the capacity of Canadian community foundations to contribute to the goals, and shared Canadian best practices on advancing the goals globally. To date, the grantee has trained more than 130 community foundations on programming and impact measurement and delivered more than 100 learning products related to the Sustainable Development Goals. Community Foundations of Canada was established in 1992 as a network of 28 community foundations. Currently, the network includes 191 community foundations with close to $6 billion in combined assets. The grantee provides information, technical assistance and networking opportunities to its members. Community Foundations of Canada also represents Canadian community foundations on the national and international levels and works across the civil society, business, and public sectors to boost efforts for building inclusive and sustainable communities.
