About this grant
Environmental Advocates of New York was founded 50 years ago and has been on the front lines leading major environmental victories in New York. The grantee’s vision is: a future where clean water, air and a stable climate are recognized as fundamental human rights; people and their communities, particularly those that are disadvantaged, are thriving; and New York ecosystems are intact and healthy. During this grant period, the grantee will embrace a comprehensive approach to protecting water from source to tap, while building a statewide initiative that integrates frontline communities with local officials, labor and other groups. A key priority for the grantee will focus on fighting climate change, transitioning away from fossil fuels and ensuring justice for those most vulnerable to climate change impacts.
