About this grant
The Minnesota Center for Environmental Advocacy has been a leading legal and scientific voice for Minnesota’s environment since 1974. With previous Mott support, the grantee has advocated for the protection of Minnesota wetlands; worked to restore Lake Superior watersheds; sought to protect Lake Superior from invasive species; worked to improve access and affordability to clean, safe water in Minnesota; and sought to protect the Lake Superior watershed from threats from mining activities. With this increase, the grantee will expand its investment in the organization’s leadership by hiring a consultant to assist with organizational development, strategic planning, and formation of a Scientific Advisory board.
