About this grant

The National Wildlife Federation, a national conservation group with a strong presence in the Great Lakes Basin, partners with regional and state-level organizations to protect and restore the Great Lakes from invasive species, toxic pollution, and harmful algal blooms. The grantee continues to deepen its efforts, particularly through informing policy and monitoring implementation, providing scientific information and assistance, leading public education, and building a diverse base of collaborators. This grant increase will allow the grantee to support the Healing Our Waters-Great Lakes Restoration Conference, water affordability outreach, and also to engage businesses in efforts to stop Asian carp from entering the Great Lakes.
