About this grant

Expanding energy access is a key to unlocking increased economic growth in developing countries such as Tanzania, particularly in rural areas. The Solar Energy Light Company Foundation, with over 10 years of experience in off-grid energy access work in rural India, has supported key Tanzanian organizations to provide capacity building and business mentoring functions for Tanzanian clean energy entrepreneurs. Over the next two years, the grantee will continue supporting its partners in Tanzania while also developing complementary programs to scale up clean energy access initiatives in the country and share lessons learned in Tanzania with clean energy access practitioners globally.
