About this grant
The project goal is to advance the Civil Society program’s objectives and outcomes by supporting exchange, networking, and interaction among key nonprofits, practitioners, and experts, including Mott grantees, working in the program’s thematic areas of interest. To this end, the Institute of International Education will establish a travel and learning fund to support individuals working on civic space, community philanthropy, access to justice, or other areas of interest to the Civil Society program. During the grant period, approximately 30 people will receive financial support in order to: participate in study visits and exchanges; attend conferences and events; or conduct field studies and research that results in a report or publication that benefits the field. Based in New York, the Institute of International Education manages similar funds for foundations around the world.
