Minnesota Statewide Afterschool Network

About this grant

This grant will support Ignite Afterschool which coordinates the Minnesota Statewide Afterschool Network to expand access to high-quality afterschool programs for young people. Specific initiatives will: 1) launch streamlined accreditation processes for school-age care programs and establish uniform quality standards in youth programming across Minnesota; 2) implement uniform quality professional development linked to statewide standards which will be updated annually with provider feedback and improved data collection; 3) work with policymakers to design and implement education recovery funding to help Minnesota youth recover and thrive; 4) work with the Mott Foundation to design future afterschool programs and ecosystems; and 5) support the promotion and distribution of Mizzen by Mott.
