New Mexico Statewide Afterschool Network

About this grant

This grant will support the Center of Southwest Culture which coordinates the New Mexico Statewide Afterschool Network to expand access to high-quality afterschool programs for young people. Specific initiatives will: 1) create a sustainable structure of statewide, regional and local partnerships to support the development and growth of statewide policies to secure resources needed to sustain new and existing school-based or school-linked out-of-school time programs; 2) support continuous quality improvement through statewide professional development, training, information dissemination and events; 3) work with policymakers to design and implement education recovery funding to help New Mexico youth recover and thrive; 4) work with the Mott Foundation to design future afterschool programs and ecosystems; and 5) support the promotion and distribution of Mizzen by Mott.
