About this grant
Shelter of Flint provides services for approximately 1,000 people each day. Most of these clients are families who are economically challenged. The principal goal of the grantee is to assist the homeless in achieving stability through a continuum of care model ranging from crisis prevention and counseling to elimination of the root causes of homelessness. This grant will help support services for families through the grantee’s One Stop Housing Resource Center program and the Emergency Shelter program. Individuals and families will receive food assistance as well as comprehensive case management services and the development of long-range plans toward permanent stability.
