Michigan Statewide Afterschool Network

About this grant

This grant will support Michigan Association of United Ways which coordinates the Michigan Statewide Afterschool Network to expand access to high-quality afterschool programs for young people. Specific initiatives will: 1) develop a youth engagement and empowerment initiative that centers youth in the values and practices of afterschool across the state; 2) continue building data collection and evaluation practices to increase quality afterschool programs; 3) identify opportunities to remove barriers for afterschool and unify providers in strategic communications; 4) work with policymakers to design and implement education recovery funding to help Michigan youth recover and thrive; 5) work with the Mott Foundation to design future afterschool programs and ecosystems; and 6) support the promotion and distribution of Mizzen by Mott.
