About this grant

Based in Chicago, the Center for Neighborhood Technology provides research, tools and solutions to cities to help create sustainable and equitable communities. With previous support from the Mott Foundation, the grantee has provided workshops and technical assistance on water infrastructure challenges faced by Great Lakes cities, including Flint and Chicago. The grantee has created water infrastructure toolkits and interactive mapping to assist communities with need assessments and water infrastructure solutions. With continued support, the grantee will design new programs with and for community groups to engage in sustainable water infrastructure decision-making. The Center for Neighborhood Technology will also expand a model approach it previously developed with Mott Foundation support to new communities to identify lead service lines needing replacement.
