About this grant
The Minnesota Center for Environmental Advocacy has been a legal and scientific voice for Minnesota’s environment since 1974. The grantee’s team of in-house lawyers and scientists work to address environmental issues across all branches of government. With prior Mott Foundation support, the grantee has been able to defend existing environmental laws and regulations, improve water quality in Lake Superior and across the state, advance climate change solutions, strengthen long-standing partnerships with Native American tribes in the region and increase capacity in Duluth to partner and engage more fully with community-based organizations. Renewed support will help advance progress toward protecting Minnesota’s environment with a focus on natural resource protection, water quality and environmental justice.
