About this grant
This grant to the Arkansas State University System Foundation will enable the Arkansas Statewide Afterschool Network to increase the availability and expansion of financial education and college affordability planning by enhancing quality afterschool and summer learning opportunities for underserved youth. This project will support the network to: 1) create a scalable model to mitigate barriers associated with college affordability planning; 2) increase the number of college savings accounts and participation in college affordability programs; and 3) build support and awareness among new and key stakeholders to address the critical gap of youth and families engaged in financial literacy and college affordability planning. The grantee will share promising practices and resources with the 50 state networks and the Mizzen by Mott App to enhance college and career readiness initiatives in afterschool programs nationally.
