About this grant
The European Center for Not-for-Profit Law Stichting, is a nonprofit registered in the Netherlands working to build the capacity of civil society and safeguard civic space. The grantee aspires to protect and promote the rights to freedom of association, assembly and expression in the digital age through research, analysis, technical assistance, networking and engagement with key stakeholders. During the previous grant period, the grantee provided expertise on artificial intelligence regulation to the United Nations Human Rights Committee, the White House and to a group of 149 global investors. European Center for Not-for-Profit Law Stichting also created an Expert Hub of over 100 experts from 50 countries who provided peer-mentoring and training to reverse anti-money laundering and counterterrorism financing restrictions impacting civil society organizations.
