About this grant

The Entrepreneurship Management and Development Foundation was established in 2010 to assist individuals and micro, small and medium enterprises in Tanzania to develop stronger entrepreneurial skills. A particular focus is the development of off-grid renewable energy companies. To reach rural communities that have no access to electricity, it is crucial that entrepreneurs are provided with adequate training and mentoring to develop these businesses. With this grant increase, the grantee will add a special module focused on technical skills related to renewable energy, increase broader awareness of opportunities in off-grid renewable energy and build capacity for community trainers to provide ongoing coaching and guidance.
