About this grant

Michigan Radio at the University of Michigan is the most listened to public radio station in Michigan. The station’s Environment Report is hosted by one of its veteran and most respected reporters. In an era of cutbacks and closures among journalism establishments and growing public concern about cutbacks in enforcement of bedrock environmental protection laws, Michigan Radio fills an important need. With support from the Mott Foundation, Michigan Radio will boost its coverage of Great Lakes and drinking water issues, collaborate and share content with other grantees, and boost distribution through digital and social media platforms.
