About this grant
The program goal is to provide legal support to immigrants as they migrate from their home countries into the United States. To this end, Justice in Motion matches immigrants with experts in their network of lawyers and nonprofits that can provide legal support; trains lawyers on representing immigrants; advocates on behalf of immigrants in the United States, Mexico and Central America; and runs initiatives on longstanding and emerging issues facing immigrants. The grantee was founded in 2005 and was originally called Global Workers Justice Alliance, focusing on providing legal assistance and expertise to migrant workers. In 2016, the grantee changed its name to Justice in Motion and expanded its mission to include humanitarian immigration and civil rights work.
