Community Foundation Development in Zambia

About this grant

The project goal is to develop community foundations in Zambia. To achieve this goal, the Zambia Governance Foundation will deepen support to community foundation initiative groups and established community foundations in the country. This support will include creating stronger links between community foundations, potential partners and key stakeholders. Over the past two years, the grantee has supported the initiative groups to build community buy-in and ownership. In addition, the grantee has refined their community foundation development processes. This grant will enable the Zambia Governance Foundation to support community foundations to access external support and investors, build their capacity for financial assets, map community natural resources and build local leadership for community foundation work.
