About this grant

The Derecho Ambiente y Recursos Naturales is a Peruvian nongovernmental organization focused on sustainable development and conservation of the Peruvian Amazon basin. Over the last grant period, the grantee implemented its strategic plan, made significant contributions to strengthening environmental and social policy at the Inter-American Development Bank and helped promote adherence to the Escazu Agreement, which will protect environmental defenders in Latin America. This grant renewal provides general purposes support to Derecho Ambiente y Recursos Naturales to develop and implement a new strategic plan beginning in 2023 and to build on the institutional gains achieved over the past five years.
