About this grant
The project goal is to increase access to justice for poor and marginalized people in Kenya. To this end, the Legal Resources Foundation Trust will continue in its efforts to contribute to a justice sector that is just, inclusive and responsive and protects, respects and fulfills the fundamental rights and freedoms of people in Kenya. It will continue to serve on the coordinating council of the Paralegal Society of Kenya and use various platforms to advocate for people-centered justice. Past support has allowed the grantee to provide justice services to approximately 28,000 people. It also provided training to over 400 community paralegals, while running an online radio station called Haki.fm. The Legal Resources Foundation Trust is a longstanding nonprofit organization in Kenya that addresses systemic and individual injustices on a daily basis.
