About this grant
The Opportunity Resource Fund is a nonprofit community development financial institution certified by the United States Department of Treasury. As a community development financial institution, the grantee borrows money at reduced rates and re-lends dollars for small business loans, affordable housing and development of real estate and community facilities. This grant will allow the grantee to help small businesses and nonprofits in Flint and Genesee County secure Paycheck Protection Program loans authorized through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act. Access to federal loans is important for economic recovery as businesses and workers try to overcome the affects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
