About this grant

The program goal is to encourage community foundations to advance the Sustainable Development Goals at the local level. To this end, the Dorothy A. Johnson Center for Philanthropy at Grand Valley State University will publish a themed issue of its quarterly journal, “The Foundation Review”, which will focus on how community foundations and other place-based funders are using the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals as a part of their community leadership, grantmaking and evaluation work. The publication will be provided to print as well as online subscribers, with open access. Along with publishing the issue, the grantee will conduct a set of dissemination, training and agenda-setting conversations. Established in 1992, the Dorothy A. Johnson Center for Philanthropy is an academic center within the College of Community and Public Service at Grand Valley State University. “The Foundation Review” is the first peer-reviewed journal of philanthropy, written by and for foundation staff and boards and those who work with them.
