About this grant

This grant will continue to support the American Institutes for Research to increase evidence-based quality afterschool programs for young people. Specifically, the grantee will: 1) develop tools and resources to assist afterschool educators in cultivating “whole child learning” that addresses the social, emotional, and academic needs of young people; 2) support the afterschool field in developing new learning models as schools reopen, including blended and distance learning approaches; 3) provide ongoing technical assistance and up-to-date resources to the afterschool field; and 4) continue to work with the Afterschool Technical Assistance Collaborative to advance high-quality afterschool and summer learning programs, including addressing issues of racial equity in education.
