About this grant
This grant will support Youth Entrepreneurs, Inc. d/b/a Empowered, which is located in Wichita, Kansas. Founded in 1991, the grantee provides educators with entrepreneurship training, curriculum resources and support to provide entrepreneurship education and experiences for low-income youth. Goals for this project include: 1) increasing opportunities for young people to understand and experience entrepreneurship through the provision of technical assistance and partnership with the 50 State Afterschool Network; 2) spreading entrepreneurial mindset programming into states and cities identified by Empowered; and 3) providing professional development and training opportunities for educators promoting entrepreneurship.
