About this grant
The Association of Black Foundation Executives will assist community foundations across the country to advance racial equity. The grantee will provide a series of learning opportunities and focused racial equity training for up to 40 community foundation staff and board members, equipping them with the shared knowledge, skills and tools needed to better understand the foundations of race, racism and racial equity. The grantee will develop templates for the creation of community “fact sheets” to organize data on racial inequities and potential solutions to address them and provide a summary report to share observations with participating community foundation leaders. In addition, the grantee will collect data from community foundations on the presence of Black donor-advised funds. Founded in 1971, the Association of Black Foundation Executives is a national membership organization of predominantly Black trustees and staff of private, community and corporate foundations.
