South Carolina Statewide Afterschool Network

About this grant

This grant will support the South Carolina Afterschool Alliance, which coordinates the South Carolina State Afterschool Network to expand access to high quality afterschool programs for young people. Specific initiatives will include: 1) develop partnerships to address youth mental health challenges through training for afterschool professionals and creating mental health career pathways for youth; 2) build sustained support for mental health services for youth and families by aligning state and local resources and educating the public through strategic communications; 3) work with education stakeholders and policymakers to design and implement education recovery funding to help South Carolina youth recover and thrive; 4) work with the Mott Foundation to design future afterschool programs and ecosystems; and 5) support the promotion and distribution of Mizzen resources.
