Hawaii Statewide Afterschool Network

About this grant

This grant will support the University of Hawaii which coordinates the Hawaii State Afterschool Network to expand access to high quality afterschool programs for young people. Specific initiatives will include: 1) increase the number of afterschool programs available for young people through increasing recruitment and retention of workers in afterschool programs; 2) enhance youth outcomes by providing statewide training on Hawaii’s afterschool quality standards; 3) work with education stakeholders and policymakers to design and implement education recovery funding to help Hawaii youth recover and thrive; 4) work with the Mott Foundation to design future afterschool programs and ecosystems; and 5) support the promotion and distribution of Mizzen resources.
