About this grant
The program goal is to support community foundation efforts to play a leadership role in helping their communities to address the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The Puerto Rico Community Foundation will integrate its Community Capitals programmatic framework with the Sustainable Development Goals and align a diverse set of key institutional stakeholders in Puerto Rico around these goals. This will advance social justice and equity and build community wealth. The grantee will develop a set of indicators, gather relevant data and present the findings in a public dashboard and a local version of a Vital Signs report. The grantee will then organize roundtables aimed at developing strategic collaboration to address the goals and promote strategies that could lead to a Voluntary Local Review by Puerto Rico’s government. Founded in 1985, the Puerto Rico Community Foundation promotes and strengthens social justice and equitable access to community resources on the island of Puerto Rico.
