About this grant

The NGO Forum on ADB has been advocating for sustainable development policies that are beneficial to local communities and the environment in the Asian region for two decades. Over the past grant period, the grantee has seen significant new commitments from both the Asian Development Bank and Chinese financial institutions to align their portfolios with climate commitments. Over the next two years, the grantee will continue to lead the civil society process for the review of the Asian Development Bank and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank’s environmental and social safeguard policies, while simultaneously reviewing the implementation of those policies. The NGO Forum on ADB will also monitor the project lending for both institutions to ensure the broad commitments to climate alignment are reflected in project finance.
