About this grant
The Global Fund for Community Foundations provides funding, promotes learning, builds a global network of community foundations, and generates knowledge about community philanthropy. Additionally, the grantee advances conversations that promote a community-led approach to development. Activities under the previous grant included strengthening and deepening the evidence base for community philanthropy through research and publications produced by members of the network. In addition to making grants, the grantee has led conversations and a movement that is focused on shifting power from international aid to communities to localizing the development agenda. In 2024 and 2025, the Global Fund for Community Foundations will continue to make grants, conduct research that shapes conversations on community philanthropy, convene the sector on topical issues, and support learning.
