About this grant
This grant will support the Ferris Wheel Innovation Center located on the first floor of the Ferris Wheel building in downtown Flint. The grantee was established to help people in an economically disadvantaged community gain access to support that advances their business concepts. The goal is to foster education, encourage innovation and entrepreneurism and promote economic stability in Flint. Local colleges and nonprofits will partner with the grantee to provide joint programming. Businesses located in the building will offer mentoring and counseling services. Additionally, college students will be hired to work with users and gain practical work experience that aligns with their future career goals.
