About this grant
Founded in 1985, the New York-based Citizens Campaign Fund for the Environment is one of the largest and well respected grassroots environmental organizations in the state. The grantee leads public education initiatives to raise awareness and promotes efforts to protect the environment from ongoing threats to clean water, clean air and healthy communities. These initiatives connect those communities with policy decisions at the state level through coalitions and consensus building. With this grant, the Citizens Campaign Fund for the Environment will lead a range of statewide education initiatives including those that protect and benefit the Great Lakes and the people who reside in the region.
