About this grant
Ecoa – Ecology and Action is a science-driven nongovernmental organization working to strengthen social and environmental standards of public investment in energy and infrastructure in South America. Over the previous project period, the grantee worked with a coalition of organizations focused on environmental social governance at the Inter-American Development Bank, monitored Chinese and Brazilian development finance and focused on social and environmental impacts of hydroelectric projects proposed in the Pantanal, the world’s largest wetlands. During this grant period, Ecoa will continue work on monitoring investments in energy and infrastructure development in the region and reflect on accomplishments over this 22-year project.
