About this grant

Michigan League of Conservation Voters Education Fund is a leader of efforts to secure funding and sound policies to protect, restore and enhance Michigan water resources. Through a recently formed water table, the grantee has been working with a coalition of state groups and frontline, community-based organizations to forge a collective plan for sharing information and resources, while coordinating strategies. Working together, the groups now focus to move from planning to implementing initiatives around water issues facing the state and its residents, including access to clean, safe and affordable drinking water, cleaning up and preventing pollution from the class of pernicious chemicals known as PFAS and funding to fix failing water infrastructure. The grantee will advance its goals through support to the members of the water table with regrant dollars, communications materials and support, lessons from successful initiatives in other states and coordination and capacity support to advance collective initiatives.
